Based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri County (Canberra) Miriam Slater aka b i g f a c e (they/them) is a Queer interdisciplinary artist working across theatre, club performances and live art. They have been producing, directing, and performing original work nationally and internationally since 2017, winning them numerous awards across Australia.

They use interactive and participatory structures to explore their interest in the Queer body, identity and community. From comedic night club acts, to Butoh informed physical theatre, to children’s roaming performances, Miriam’s work hinges on how we use the body to create collective storytelling.
